The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe administers numerous programs and services for community members. The Tribe’s governing body, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council, is made up of three chiefs, three sub-chiefs, and a clerk. They are elected for three-year terms, with chiefs and sub-chiefs on a staggered basis.

The helpline is open to anyone experiencing emotional distress related to disasters. This includes survivors of disasters; loved ones of victims; first responders; rescue, recovery, and relief workers; clergy; and parents and caregivers. We believe that empowered self-advocates can help create inclusive communities and a person-centered and person-directed system of supports. The Saranac Lake Youth Center serves all Middle and High School students primarily in the Saranac Lake School District. It is open 2:30-7:00 pm Monday Friday after school and for six weeks in the summer as well. Inside there is a pool table, air hockey, video games, music and a full kitchen available to learn cooking skills. Daily free snacks are ...

The Saranac Lake Youth Center serves all Middle and High School students primarily in the Saranac Lake School District. It is open 2:30-7:00 pm Monday Friday after school and for six weeks in the summer as well. Inside there is a pool table, air hockey, video games, music and a full kitchen available to learn cooking skills. Daily free snacks are provided which has encouraged the kids visiting to stay for hours. There is also an abundance of board games and art/craft supplies as well as lounge areas... There is strict monitoring and restrictions for any sign of substance use. Informal counseling and discussions focus on relationships, family, drug, and school issues.
