The Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice Center) was established in 2013 by the Protection of People with Special Needs Act. The agency was created to restore public trust in the institutions and individuals charged with caring for vulnerable populations by protecting the health, safety, and dignity of all people with special needs. The agency operates a toll-free hotline 24 hours a day, seven days a week for receiving reports of allegations of abuse and neglect. The Justice Center is authorized to investigate these reports and pursue administrative sanctions against staff found responsible for misconduct. The agency's Special Prosecutor/Inspector General works with local district attorneys who prosecute criminal offense allegations.

We serve all Burmese ethnicities, including Karen, Burmese, Chin, and Karenni. While our efforts are concentrated in the Buffalo region, our community events also draw Asian residents from Rochester, Syracuse, Ithaca, Utica, and Albany, extending our geographic reach.

Keeping Our Promise, Inc. is the most comprehensive resettlement program for Afghan, Iraqi and Kurdish interpreters and support personnel in the United States today. ​Based in Rochester, NY, we assist with initial visa applications under the Special Immigrant Visa Program. Once visas are granted, we will find and furnish our allies' first apartments, and help with finding employment. We help with a modest vehicle to get to work. Each family receives a computer and mobile phone to facilitate job searches and language acquisition, and to stay connected with family they have been separated from.
